How Can Therapy Help Me?

How can therapy help me?

Everyone goes through some struggle in their lives. There may be moments when some struggles are more complicated. There may be unresolved issues from the past that begin to surface or resurface. Therapy can provide a safe and supportive environment to allow for growth to occur in one’s life. Therapy is a space to understand triggers and explore the “why’s” to one’s behavior. Many people tell me that therapy has been a place for growth, improved interpersonal relationships, clarity on parenting, relationship conflict, and lifelong patterns. The benefit of therapy depends on where you and your willingness, ability, and resources to make a change in your life.

What is therapy like for people?

Everyone has their unique experience when it comes to the therapeutic process. There is a list of goals developed. It is determined early in treatment what the goals are to be achieved and action steps to accomplish these goals. Typically, you will reflect on your day or week in terms of your experiences with your environment, perceptions, and ways you internalize meaning to your experiences.

When can I begin? What are the steps?

The first step is asking for help. Once you decided to do this, contact me via phone, email, or message me via the link below. I will set up a time to talk with you on the phone for a 15-minute consultation. I will explore your concerns and ideas to understand a little about what you are needing. I will examine ways I can be supportive and other options available to you to assist you in meeting your goals. If you feel this may be a good fit, we will schedule an online or in-person session.
