Integrative Mental Health Services

“O” is for Observation

What is Observation?

I will work with you to explore your ideas about meditation, self-reflection, and being mindful in an intimate setting. These practices require one to be consistent and persistent in their daily life. Then when fluctuations happen, your coping skills are automatic. I have higher levels of training in Ayurvedic meditation, Sound Healing, Vibration and Energy practices, Mantras, Affirmations, Mindfulness, Mindful Eating, and methods to silence the mind.

“C” is for Compassion

A big part of our work is understanding your desire to help others. Often people give all they have of themselves. People are left with little time for self-care. They are physically drained. People want to help others, and sometimes this needs to be reversed. Our work involves exploring ways you learn to think, behave, and feel about helping yourself. To set aside moments over the day to work on you and your emotional stuff.

“T” is for Therapy

Mental Health therapy is one gift you can reward yourself with every week. We set a scheduled time to meet weekly, sometimes 3-4 times/week, depending on your level of motivation and dedication. We develop treatment goals and plans for meeting those goals. We continually evaluate your progress and improvements. Mental Health Therapy is a safe place for you to explore who you are and move you towards the people you want to be in life.

“A” is for Animals

Emotional support animals are a substantial adjunctive part of this program. I have worked with two emotional support animals. At the onset of my career, Summer, a small-medium-sized beagle-chihuahua mix, was part of our team. Summer specialized in working with Depressed and Anxious adults who needed support and encouragement during painful periods in their treatment. However, retired, she still visits the office at times. Currently, Mona, a large-sized Husky, is energic and patient with the children, attentive and loving with the teens, and curious about the adults. Mona has many certifications and loves the attention.

I provide Emotional Support letters for current patients for a small fee.

I provide Emotional Support Letters to others in the community. I complete a full evaluation, assessment, and observations in person or on video. The fee is higher because of the intensity of this assessment.

I welcome your emotional support animal to my office as well. I request prior approval so I can prepare for your loved one.

“V” is for Victuals

We have many discussions about Victuals, the foods we eat. Victuals nourish the body. I believe the food choices we make, if toxic and poisonous, will influence our mental wellness. I think the food choices we make, if they are nutritious and detoxing, enhance our overall capacity to live happier lives.

When you are ready, we will explore your victuals and ways to make changes that are agreeable with you and move you toward mental wellness.

I provide nutrition consultations for those wanting to make other changes to their diet. They may want to explore more vegetarian, vegan, or raw vegan selections. I have a nutrition certification in Ayurvedic nutrition (natural healing foods from India). We will implement ways to enhance one’s ability to balance their emotional expression with food.

I provide nutrition consultations to those with a desire to increase their athletic performance. We explore different forms of protein and how protein and other minerals are absorbed in the body. To learn more about recommendations for natural remedies for improving one’s physical performance.

“E” is for Exercise

We may decide to move our bodies together. I have 500 hour Ayurvedic and Traditional Yoga Certifications. I have a certification in Trauma- Sensitive Yoga. If Yoga is not your place to begin, there are other options to move your body. We may choose “walk therapy,” proved in research to be an adjunctive practice to increase blow flow to the brain while stabilizing Serotonin in the brain. We may choose more non-traditional means to move the body and implement body healing techniques.

“S” is for Socialize

In life, you are socializing with others, and this is valuable information. We learn ways to increase your healthier interpersonal relationships. We will explore your past and current relationships. I will ask about your interactions with others. One goal may be to work on your communication, and improve your confidence with setting boundaries, articulating your needs, and understanding more about who you are in your relationship with others. You can move from unhealthy destructive relationships with others towards surrounding yourself with loving, compassionate, and kind people.
